I’ve been drawing something since I could hold a pencil. Art has molded me and shaped me into the person I am today. I attended a small art school in NYC and the New York Institute of Technology until I entered the service.
When I left the Army, I started working on Long Island, and then in advertising and commercial illustrating in Houston as Staff Illustrator with the Houston Chronicle. Then came a job in Richmond, VA as a Graphic Designer with the Richmond Times Dispatch. All through those years I worked to develop my own style of expression and method. Over the years I’ve incorporated illustrative qualities and techniques in my drawings and painting. I feel it’s very important to explore as many mediums and techniques as possible, opening the way to new approaches and new dimensions of creative expression.
Whether it is a person, a horse, or even a motorcycle, my work expresses my love for form. While a work is filtered through the eyes and brain, it ultimately has to come from the heart.
